I’m an art psychotherapist, facilitator, writer, and survivor-activist with over two decades of experience supporting individuals and groups in trauma-informed mental health and community settings, including working as a counsellor within university services. I co-founded Not the Only One, where I help plan and deliver training, workshops, and support spaces for university students and staff, and provide specialist support to students navigating the impacts of trauma and sexual abuse. I’m passionate about the power of creativity in fostering healing, resilience, and connection.

Aitch Farley

I’m an expert in sexual violence prevention and response in higher education, with a decade of experience designing and delivering consent education and active bystander training to over 700 students and staff. My work is grounded in trauma-informed practice and informed by an academic background in International Relations and a Master’s in Gender, Peace and Security and experience in the charitable sector.

I’ve contributed to culture change initiatives at leading universities, including developing Scotland’s first mandatory consent programme at the University of St Andrews and consulting on curriculum design at the London School of Economics. At SOAS Students’ Union, I led their ‘Enough is Enough’ campaign against all forms of sexual violence. I now oversee harassment prevention at the University of Oxford, supporting a network of 500 volunteer harassment advisors, running institution-wide learning solutions and advising on complex cases.

I'm nationally recognised for my expertise in this field, having been invited to speak at the Westminster Forum and the Culture Shift Conference. As a survivor and someone with experience in Higher Education as a student, staff member, consultant and researcher, I’m committed to creating safer, more compassionate institutions. My work supports meaningful cultural change — centring the needs of survivors and strengthening institutional responses to misconduct.

Sophie

I’m a consultant in higher education, specialising in issues of sexual violence. As the co-founder of Not the Only One, I’ve been at the forefront of developing comprehensive support systems, guidance, and training for survivors of sexual violence within academic institutions.

I design curricula on consent and active bystander intervention and work with university staff to ensure they are equipped to deliver these topics effectively. I also assist universities in developing survivor-centred policies on sexual violence, ensuring they meet the specific needs of survivors. I lead workshops and support spaces that help survivors build resilience, foster a sense of community, and improve their daily well-being.

With degrees in Economics and Sociology from the London School of Economics, I’ve worked in advancing children’s rights and education, both nationally and internationally. I also collaborate with Sexe et Consentement, a French charity, where I contribute to curriculum development and deliver workshops on consent and bystander intervention for students across France.

I’ve spoken at institutions such as Durham University, the London School of Economics, and the Polytechnic Institute of Paris. My work helps higher education institutions create safer, more supportive environments while developing effective policies on sexual violence and survivor support.
